Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre (BSBCC) was founded back in 2008 by Dr. (Hon.) Wong Siew Te with the collaboration with Sabah Wildlife Department (SWD), Sabah Forestry Department (SFD), and Land Empowerment Animal People (LEAP) with the objectives of conserving sun bear through holistic approaches that incorporate rescuing captive sun bear and providing better animal welfare, conducting rehabilitation, providing education to the public and doing researches on sun bear.
